TSA agents in St. Louis, Missouri reportedly confiscated a gun.. a toy gun.. from a sock monkey.. a toy gun that is about 2″ in size. All because, “it posed a threat because it could be confused for a real gun”.
The following are reported real quotes from this brilliant TSA agent:
“She said ‘this is a gun,’” said May (the owner of the custom made cowboy sock monkey). “I said no, it’s not a gun it’s a prop for my monkey.”
“She said ‘If I held it up to your neck, you wouldn’t know if it was real or not,’ and I said ‘really?’” said May.
Would anyone in their right mind consider this an effective use of taxpayer money & TSA efforts? Is anyone disturbed that a TSA agent actually (1) thought, (2) said and (3) did this?
