It was announced that US Airways will cut movies on all 200 domestic flights starting in November…. Why? To save fuel costs of course. They report the movie systems weigh about 500 pounds (I thought a DVD player weighed about 5 pounds) and thus, causes the use of more fuel to haul it around.

Well, we all know what this means… they will just make up for that 500 pounds in extra cargo weight by selling it off for profit to carry shippers cargo (read below our conspiracy theory). They surely want you to think it is to save fuel costs, but we know better.

There is a rumor rolling around that airlines are about to start to charge rent for the in-flight magazines that STUFF your seat back pocket. Seems they have room for that junk.
